FIELD: document security.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protective element (100, 101) and valuable document (200, 201) with such protective element (100, 101) in the form of a strip with first (1) and second polymer layer (2) and with luminescence under the action of ultraviolet radiation, visually recognizable raster printed image (3) between first (1) and second layer (2), wherein raster printed image (3) has opacity and forms at least one surface of overprint (5) with boundary contour (4) within protective element (100, 101). In order to increase protection against falsification, it is proposed that at least one of both polymer layers (1, 2) at least in area of boundary contour (4) of overprint surface (5) has opacity and opacity is matched with overlay surface overprint (5), in order to reduce visibility of boundary surface contour (4) of overprint surface (5) of luminescent bitmap printed image (3) in protective element (100, 101).
EFFECT: disclosed is a security element and a valuable document with this security element.
