FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular, to production of powder of nanocristalline yttrium-aluminum garnet for use as initial powder of oxide ceramics, in dispersed state as filler or pigment or as initial powder for production of monocrystal or coating applied by flame spraying method. It can be used in production of lasers, in chemical and other industries. Initial solutions of aluminum and yttrium nitrates are mixed with precipitation agent - ammonia solution in microreactor with colliding jets, at that, mixture of initial solutions of aluminum and yttrium nitrates is supplied to one of branch pipes of microreactor, and ammonia solution is fed into other branch pipe of microreactor. Angle between colliding jets in vertical plane is set in range from 70 to 120°. Spends of solutions of initial components are set equal to provide for formation of collision of liquid veil with average thickness of about 10-50 mcm for contact and intensive mixing of solutions. Obtained precipitate is filtered and calcined at 1100°C for 30 minutes.
EFFECT: improved morphological characteristics of the powder, low temperature and continuity of the production process.
