FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of obtaining low-agglomerated high-stoichiometric nano-sized precursor powder based on yttrium-aluminium garnet with cations of rare-earth elements. Powders of the precursor can be used in the technology of synthesis of optical ceramic materials of laser quality when creating active bodies of solid-state lasers of different geometry. Initial solution of chlorides of required cations (yttrium, aluminium and rare-earth metals) is obtained by dissolving metallic aluminium A995, yttrium and rare-earth oxide in concentrated hydrochloric acid, solution is evaporated and sprayed into 25 % aqueous ammonia solution containing 30–40 % hydrogen peroxide solution in volume ratio from 6:1 to 2:1, as well as crystalline carbamide in amount of 90–100 g per 1 l of solution. Obtained residue is decanted in deionised water to pH = 7. Moist precipitate is dried in vacuum drying cabinet at temperature of 60–80 °C. After calcination of obtained precursor at temperature of more than 1000 °C it is possible to obtain 100 % target product (cubic aluminium-yttrium garnet), which does not contain extraneous phases.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is production of nano-sized powders with particle size of 30–90 nm.
