FIELD: cosmetic industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a foaming sunscreen composition comprising: an oil-in-water emulsion comprising a continuous aqueous phase, containing from about 0.75 % to about 6 % by weight of a super-hydrophilic amphiphilic copolymer, based on the total weight of the foaming sunscreen composition, wherein the super-hydrophilic amphiphilic copolymer is an ester of hydrolysed potato starch and dodecenyl succinate sodium; and dispersed oil phase dispersed in aqueous phase, wherein the disperse oil phase contains a UV-absorbing compound and contains 3 wt % or less of an oil-soluble polymer, where the oil phase contains 80 wt % or more of the weight of the UV absorbing compound, and the foaming sunscreen composition contains 0.75 % or less by weight of a surfactant selected from an anionic, nonionic, amphoteric or cationic surfactant.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides a soft sunscreen composition which is capable of providing high "foam number" with relatively low power consumption.
