SUBSTANCE: described is an isolated polypeptide for vaccinating birds against avian reovirus, wherein said recovered polypeptide comprises an internal amino acid sequence, corresponding to amino acid residues 122–326 of sigma C protein of S1133 ARV strain, as specified in SEQ ID NO: 1. Also described is an isolated polypeptide for vaccinating poultry against reoviruses, wherein said recovered polypeptide comprises an internal amino acid sequence, which has at least 70 % identity to amino acid residues 122–326 of sigma C protein of S1133 ARV strain, as specified in SEQ ID NO: 1. Disclosed is an isolated polypeptide for vaccinating birds against avian reovirus, wherein said recovered polypeptide comprises an amino acid sequence having at least 70 % identity to an internal amino acid sequence of sigma C protein, selected from a group specified in Table 1, said internal amino acid sequence corresponds to amino acid residues 122–326 of sigma C protein of S1133 ARV strain, as specified in SEQ ID NO: 1. Also corresponding vector and vaccines are presented.
EFFECT: invention extends the range of agents for vaccinating poultry against avian reovirus.
