FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a flow meter for measuring flow rate of fluids in a pipeline. Flow meter has installed on pipeline, through which fluid flows, measuring channel (14), on which measuring unit is fixed, which has at least two ultrasonic sensors (28, 30) located at a distance from each other and submerged into at least one recess (12) of the housing. Input and output of measuring signals into fluid medium or, accordingly, from it is carried out through measuring beam (54) or through connecting element (32, 34), which comprises said or said sensors (28, 30). Measuring channel (14) has cross-section profile, which in direction of transmitting and receiving sensors (28, 30) has larger width in light than across it. Measuring channel (14) has approximately oval shape or is approximately trapezoidal narrowed in area lying opposite to sensors (28, 30). Passing in direction of normal axis (h) side walls (44, 46) are bent outwards and form an oval shape with transverse walls (40, 42) extending approximately in the direction of the transverse axis by approximately flat or slightly curved outwardly. In transverse wall (40) remote from sensors (28, 30) there is reflector (52) which is inserted flush in pocket (78) of transverse wall.
EFFECT: technical result is creation of flow meter/flow paymeter, having improved measurement accuracy.
