FIELD: ceramics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ceramic industry and can be used in isostatic pressing of articles from ceramic powder materials. Method of producing elastic shell for isostatic compaction of articles from ceramic powder materials includes making a gypsum workpiece, processing it to a given profile and size, removal of gypsum cast from gypsum workpiece, which completely repeats profile and dimensions of gypsum workpiece, groove billet over entire surface for coating thickness. Surface of the gypsum workpiece is covered with lacquer, the inner surface of the gypsum cast is greased with solidol. Cast is cast on the workpiece with provision of a gap. Elastic material is poured into the formed gap, cured until complete polymerisation, extraction of the gypsum impression. Before removal of gypsum impression external surface of gypsum workpiece after coating varnish is greased with salts. In order to manufacture an elastic shell with a diameter >200 mm and height >500 mm is a cast consisting of interconnected rings, which height ranges from 0.4 to 0.8 of diameter, and pouring of elastic material is performed alternately in each ring with intermediate holding of 3 to 20% of final polymerisation time of elastic material.

EFFECT: technical result is expansion of technological capabilities of making elastic shell for isostatic pressing of articles from ceramic powder materials.
