FIELD: rocket technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates methods of operation of detonation rocket engines. The method consists in placing solid fuel and solid oxidizer in separate gas generators, heating and gasification of solid fuel and solid oxidizer are carried out using appropriate additional charges of solid fuel with a low burning rate. Then, with the help of appropriate collector devices, fuel and oxidizer in a gaseous state are fed into the annular combustion chamber and mixed to form propellant, which is ignited and burned to form at least one detonation wave, and the combustion products are removed. In this case, the time of filling the annular combustion chamber with rocket fuel is taken to be less than the delay time of self-ignition of the formed rocket fuel, and is determined from a given ratio.
EFFECT: creating a method of operation of a detonation rocket engine, the characteristics of which provide an increase in the effective flight speed.
