FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction of underground facilities, and more specifically to smoke protection systems in case of fires in metro double-track subway tunnels. Proposed method comprises detection of fire area in tunnel by means of automatic alarm system, automatic opening of vent channel smoke removal valves, smoke exhaust fans activation for combustion products from tunnel to outside through ventilation channel. At the same time smoke removal valves are installed in the ceiling, dividing the tunnel into the ventilation channel and transport compartment. Smoke removal valves are made transverse, having length equal to width of ventilation channel, and the distance between the adjacent smoke removal valves is selected based on the previously established correlation relationships obtained by processing the numerical experiment data, depending on the predicted power of fire and the smoke removal rate per one valve subject to the smoke area restriction by the distance between the valves. At that, in case of fire centre, only two ventilation flue vent valves are automatically opened, the position of which is determined depending on the slope value of the section of double-track ferry tunnel on which a fire occurred.

EFFECT: technical result is elimination of the possibility of flue gas flowing over and flowing past the open smoke exhaust valves and their spreading along the transport tunnel of the subway at different capacity of the fire centres and the tunnel slope.
