FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science and may be used for ultrasonic diagnostics of parvoviral enteritis of dogs. That is ensured by ultrasonography of the jejunum using a multifrequency linear sensor from 7.5 to 12.5 MHz with calibration adjustment of the ultrasound scanner on the instrument gain control scale equal to 255. Series of transverse, longitudinal and skew scanning sections is examined with visualization of intestinal wall layers and a jejunal wall echogenicity index (JWEI) is determined. If observing the absence or weakness of peristaltic contractions, enlarging the small intestine cavity and the presence of anechoic fluid content in it, with a thickening of the echographic layer on the border of the intestinal cavity with mucosa from 0.05 to 0.1 cm, with the thickness of the small intestine mucosa less than 50 %, increased echogenicity index of intestinal wall for mucous layer from 35 to 46, submucosal layer from 58 to 72 and for muscular layer from 38 to 50 is diagnosed presence of parvoviral enteritis in dogs.
EFFECT: invention enables diagnosing parvoviral enteritis in dogs.
