FIELD: mineral resources processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for monitoring chemical parameters at an operating mineral processing or water treatment plant, containing the stages, at which: they continuously take samples of the sludge flow out of the process flow in an operating mineral processing or water treatment plant; fill the sample chamber located at the plant’s site with the selected sludge samples; measure the chemical composition of the pulp in the sampled sludge in the sample chamber; analyze the measured data on the chemical composition of the pulp, while the analyzed data on the chemical composition of the pulp represent one of the following parameters: pH level, redox potential Eh, dissolved oxygen, temperature, conductivity, oxygen demand and degree of pulp oxidation; provide the analyzed data on the chemical composition of the pulp to the interface element of the plant operator in real time; empty the sampling chamber and refill the sampling chamber with the sampled sludge. The invention also relates to a system to monitor data on the pulp chemical composition at an existing mineral processing or water treatment plant, a control system for processing measured data on the pulp chemical composition and/or data on extraction under the action of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) and providing the processed data to the interface element of the operator and the unit for performing extraction in the sample under the action of EDTA.
EFFECT: invention helps obtain better results in mineral processing or water treatment.
