FIELD: radio engineering and measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and measurement equipment and can be used in devices measuring parameters of random signals based on the Nakagami probability distribution to assess the characteristics of a communication channel in the presence of fading and in devices that control the information transmission system. The digital meter of the parameters of random processes based on the Nakagami distribution contains an analog-to-digital converter, the first, second and third registers, the first, second and third quadratic converters, a subtractor, a clock generator, a digital divider and the first and second channels for generating the average value each of which consists of readout accumulators each of which consists of an adder and a shift register of multi-digit codes.
EFFECT: invention ensures continuous digital measurement of the parameters m and Ω of the Nakagami probability distribution with high accuracy with the minimum number of necessary arithmetic operations.
