FIELD: pet food production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pet food production, in particular to the method for producing pet food. The method includes the following steps: preparation of a base which comprises gelatin, forming a base for the production of a separate half-stuff that does not have a shell, boiling or cooking the half-stuff, structuring the surface of the moulded half-stuffes by embossing or stamping, applying a coating in the form of a shell on the moulded half-stuff, drying the moulded half-stuff with the coating.
EFFECT: use of invention enables increasing quality of a final product.
