SUBSTANCE: said technical result is achieved by that in addition to generating a correlation coefficient modulus estimate based on two observation samples received at two carrier frequencies or in two adjacent radar periods, and comparing said estimate with a threshold in each range element with assignment of a criterion for detecting correlated discrete reflection when said threshold is exceeded in a specific range element, additionally in order to stabilize false alarms when changing the noise level, comparison of the correlation coefficient modulus comparison is carried out with an adaptive threshold generated as a product of the coefficient, determining false alarm probability on total noise power estimate at two carrier frequencies or two adjacent repetition periods. Accumulation of the modulus of correlation coefficient and estimates of the noise level when generating estimates is carried out from a review to a survey in each range element.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing efficiency of correlation detection when using an adaptive threshold.
