FIELD: composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a multilayer composite fuel coating for use in a reactor with a water, liquid metal, or liquid salt cooler and relates to a multilayer composite fuel coating system with high temperature tightness and resistance to abnormal situations. The multi-layer coating includes an inner layer, an intermediate layer and an outer layer. The inner layer forms the structure of the coating. The interlayer includes a ceramic composite or a ceramic-containing composite composed of interconnected woven or braided fibers, such as fiber bundles wrapped around the inner layer to form a woven structure, and a matrix material. The outer layer consists of a metal or a metal alloy, for example in the form of a coating.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create a composite that includes more than one material, each of which exhibits a different advantageous property for coating, namely high-temperature mechanical strength and stability, resistance to swelling and corrosion resistance, while simultaneously providing protection and tightness in relation to the external environment.
