FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy, namely, to a method for controlling the supply of titanium tetrachloride to the recovery machine for the magnesium-thermal reduction of titanium. The method for controlling the supply of titanium tetrachloride includes installing a recovery device in a furnace with heaters, pouring molten magnesium into the recovery machine, heating the recovery machine, feeding titanium tetrachloride into the recovery machine with a dispenser, reducing titanium tetrachloride with magnesium and periodically draining magnesium chloride. When the dispenser supplies titanium tetrachloride to the recovery machine, the time intervals of the movement of the dispenser piston are measured by means of sensors, the readings of which are recorded in the information collection and dispatcher control system, and deviations are detected. When the first signs of an increase in the time intervals of movement of the dispenser piston appear, violations are signaled in the form of color indicators in real time in a graphical form using mnemonic diagrams and animation.
EFFECT: increasing yield of high-quality titanium reaction mass due to the stabilization of the technological mode of the process of magnesium-thermal reduction of titanium.
