FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment and can be used to train medical students and doctors. The simulator for teaching coronary artery bypass surgery on a beating heart consists of a body having an opening for a movable platform in the upper part, the movable platform with a soft surface attached to it for fixing a model of a blood vessel, and an electric motor. The invention also has a frame located in the invention’s body, a potentiometer which can set the rotation speed of the electric motor to simulate the heart rate, and a USB cable for connecting to a power source to supply power to the electric motor. The platform is located on the upper side of the frame and is fixed to it by means of springs with the possibility of being driven from the electric motor attached to the frame. A blood vessel model is a biological vessel or a synthetic dummy that is attached to a soft surface using clamps.
EFFECT: invention ensures the consolidation of the surgical skills necessary for coronary artery bypass surgery.
