FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to lifting crane, which has device (1) for tensioning elongated lifting element (10). Said device (1) comprises: first friction generating element (2) installed with possibility of rotation around first support element (6), second friction generating element (4) rotatable about second support element (8). First and second friction generating elements (2, 4) are configured to provide friction to elongated lifting member (10), when said first and second friction elements (2, 4) press against each other, and between them there is a certain section of elongated lifting element (10). Device also comprises braking device (18) for braking rotation of said first and second friction-generating elements (2, 4) around said first and second support elements (6, 8). Present invention also discloses a method of operating a crane.
EFFECT: invention provides sufficient tension of elongated lifting element.
