FIELD: ecology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cleaning and maintaining, in proper condition, the surface of open water bodies, is intended for elimination of emergency oil spills by chemical method due to dispersion of floating oil in the water column in the form of small drops. Essence of the proposed technical solution is an environmental dispersant for oil spill response, containing: lecithin - 30-40 wt%; polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate - 10-20 wt%; solvent - 40-60 wt%. Solvent is represented by a mixture of liquid paraffin and propylene glycol in the ratio liquid paraffin: propylene glycol = 40-60 : 60-40 wt%.

EFFECT: contaminated water surface is treated with surfactants, as a result of which oil from water surface is transferred into water column, which reduces potential damage from spill.
