FIELD: technology of water and air purification.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for collecting spills of oil, oil products and gas condensate from a water surface—"chemical shepherd", containing a non-ionic surfactant and a diluent, in which as a surfactant it contains oleic acid, and as a diluent—one of monoatomic alcohols selected from a row—isobutyl, isopropyl, ethyl, with the following ratio of components, vol.%: oleic acid—10–99.9, monoatomic alcohol—the rest. Invention also relates to a method of producing the composition.
EFFECT: absence of toxic action of the composition on the biota of the affected water area with sufficient effectiveness in reducing the area and increasing the thickness of the N/NP films and the possibility of its use in a wide range of temperature and salinity of water.
