FIELD: to materials science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to materials science and referred to lithium niobate monocrystal stoichiometry evaluating method. Method includes the impact on the investigated monocrystal in vacuum with unpolarized infrared radiation with a continuous spectrum and the analysis of the obtained spectrum considering the parameters of the spectral characteristics. During the spectrum analysis, the number of absorption bands in the frequency range 3420-3600 cm-1 is considered, on the basis of which it is concluded that there are hydrogen atoms bound to oxygen atoms in the structure of a lithium niobate monocrystal, the number of positions of which can illustrate the monocrystal stoichiometry.
EFFECT: increase of lithium niobate monocrystal stoichiometry evaluating accuracy and reduce of method duration.
