METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF BEE FAMILY SAFETY Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A01K47/00 A01K49/00

Abstract RU 2743994 C1

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular, to beekeeping. Method of prediction of safety of bee colonies involves use of bees for analysis of extracted rectums. At that, up to 30 rectums are collected from the bee family, their width is measured in each of them and the number of overfilled zones is determined by excrements. For this purpose, a binocular microscope with a calibrated ruler is used, by means of which a horizontal line is drawn from the beginning to the end of the rectum, then perpendicular lines from higher points to lower lines are drawn to this horizontal line, from which width of rectum is measured, and number of intervals between perpendicular lines is used to determine number of overfilled zones by excrements. Rectums are ranked according to overcrowding degree depending on their width and number of overcrowded zones. To 1st degree of overcrowding there are referred to as rectums, the width of which is more than 3 mm, and the number of overcrowded zones is 4 or more. To 2nd degree of overcrowding, the rectum with width of 1.5–2.0 mm and number of overcrowded zones of not more than 3. Rectums with width of 1.5–1.8 and number of zones of not more than 2 are referred to 3rd degree of overcrowding. If number of 1st degree overcrowding rectum prevails over number of 2nd and 3rd degree rectums, then the bee family is classified as a low safety category, and if the number of rectums 2nd and 3rd degree of overcrowding prevails over 1st degree of overcrowding, then the bee family is classified as a high-safety category.

EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of prediction of bee family safety.
