FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used for adaptive selection of the transmission rate in a radio link based on the results of measuring of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) current value in the signal reception band. Technical result consists in adaptive change of the radio link transmission rate on the transmitting side and the corresponding choice of the bandwidth of the receiving path on the receiving side of the radio link depending on the SNR. Such result is achieved due to the fact that the measured value of the ratio of the information signal power to the noise power spectral density is transmitted to the transmitting side, while if the measured value of the ratio of the information signal power to the noise power spectral density is less than the calculated value of the ratio of the test signal power to the spectral power density noise, then on the transmitting side the transmission rate is reduced by one gradation, and if the measured value of the ratio of information signal power to the noise power spectral density is not less than the calculated value of the ratio of the test signal power to the noise power spectral density, then the next packet of information messages is transmitted, these procedures are repeated until all packets of information messages are transmitted.
EFFECT: in adaptive change of the radio link transmission rate on the transmitting side and the corresponding choice of the bandwidth of the receiving path on the receiving side of the radio link depending on the SNR.
