FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to throwing equipment, and more specifically to electromagnetic throwers. Electromagnetic mass accelerator includes housing, rails and projectile on them. Needle-shaped emission layer of material with low work function of electrons is deposited on open surface of projectile. Anodes of electrically conductive material are arranged on mass accelerator housing opposite the rail. Anodes are electrically connected in series through the voltage source and rail to the cathode.
EFFECT: cooled shell.
