FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pupillometrics, in particular to devices for determining pupillary responses to a visual stimulus. The device comprises a protective cone with point sources of visual stimulating action and IR illumination sources, an IR-sensitive video camera with a lens and a computer. The first and the second linear polarizers are introduced thereto and the infrared illumination sources are assigned from the direction of the eye to the lens of the video camera to an angle ranging from 50 to 70°. The first linear polarizers is installed at the output of sources of stimulating action. The second linear polarizer is located at the input of an IR-sensitive video camera. The linear polarizers are oriented in such a way that their polarization axes are mutually perpendicular.
EFFECT: device enables suppressing the background images from sources of stimulating action and IR illumination sources, which enables implementing algorithms for automatically selecting pupil boundaries on the eye image and measuring geometric parameters of the eye in real time.
