FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of souvenir bimetal articles. It can be used for production of souvenir coins, medals with multicolored effect. Relief part of lower puncheon is set at 2–3 mm above die mold, paste-like mixture of powder on base of copper is applied on it. Then the lower punch is lowered to depth of 15 mm to form a working cavity, iron powder is filled and semi-automatically pressing is performed. Produced billet is sintered in protective gas, then, coining and finishing are performed.
EFFECT: possibility of making bimetallic articles by semiautomatic pressing.
