FIELD: minting.

SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing a tool for minting coins, medals, in which all or part of the working surface sections are made with different roughness values, includes annealing of a round hot-woven rod, rolled with a turned surface made of steel, then grinding the outer diameter of the stamp blank, grinding the cone and cutting the blanks from the bar, after which the blanks are ground, roughing the cone surface of the stamp and polishing using diamond paste, then the working surface is transferred to the polished stamp blanks, then the stamp is sharpened and quenched, grinding of the outer diameter, and cleaning the background of the stamp by engraving, after that, the working surface of the stamp is subjected to matting with a grinding powder with a grain size of 63 microns, then the working surface is alternately polished with hair brushes using a paste of synthetic diamond powders and a finishing paste of synthetic powders to obtain roughness within the range from 0.032 to 0.125 microns, then laser matting is applied to the relief image to expand the range of roughness areas in the range from 0.063 to 0.200 microns, then the working surface of the stamp is washed and subjected to chrome plating.

EFFECT: new method for manufacturing a tool for minting coins, medals, in which all or part of the working surface sections are made with different roughness values.
