FIELD: light-emitting devices.

SUBSTANCE: light-emitting device includes a substrate, a light-emitting element, and a sealing polymer element. The substrate includes a flexible base, multiple wire sections, and a groove section. The grooved section is formed among the multiple wire sections spaced apart, and includes the first grooved section, the second grooved section, and the third grooved section extending in the direction intersecting the first grooved section and the second grooved section. The first grooved section and the third grooved section are connected to each other by an arc. The second grooved section and the third grooved section are connected to each other by an arc. The sealing polymer element seals the light-emitting element and the substrate. The sealing polymer element is located in the third grooved section and is separated from the first grooved section and the second grooved section.

EFFECT: when the light-emitting device made according to the invention is wound into a roll, the concentration of mechanical stresses between the sealing element, which seals the light-emitting element, and the substrate decreases.
