SUBSTANCE: system includes a dental instrument for removing parts of a tooth in a patient's mouth and an onlay for guiding the dental instrument during the tooth extraction phase. The onlay is temporarily installed in a patient's oral cavity in order to guide the dental instrument when removing tooth material. The onlay has one or more sets of predetermined guide walls configured to contact one or more guide protrusions of the dental instrument, and a receiving portion that is configured to receive the dental instrument and attach to the dental instrument.
EFFECT: group of inventions is aimed at creating a system and a method of preparing a tooth for the installation of a restoration tool.
