FIELD: gas transportation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the main gas pipeline systems of gas transportation and more specifically to the continuous control of ensuring fire and explosion safety at the underground or above-ground section of the operational facility of the main gas pipeline which is shut off and taken out of service for repair to bleed gas. A section of the main gas pipeline is shut off. Gas is bled. The tightness of the shut-off valves is ensured. After that the presence or absence of condensate is determined, and temporary openings are made. External temporary sealing devices are installed into these openings. These sealing devices are pumped with air or inert gas. The area between external temporary sealing devices is blown by nitrogen. Then internal temporary sealing devices are installed which are pumped with air and inert gas. Control is exerted over natural gas contamination, gas contamination of heavy hydrocarbon gases, operating pressure in all temporary sealing devices, overpressure in the main gas pipeline between external temporary sealing devices and shut-off valves. Information enters software. The software makes it possible to control the threshold values of the working pressure in all temporary sealing devices, the excess pressure between the external temporary sealing devices and the shut-off valves, the threshold values for the volume fraction of gas concentration, the amount of oxygen at the stage of displacement of the gas-air mixture. If there are any deviations from the threshold values, an alert signal is transmitted to immediately suspend work and evacuate people from the hazardous area until the causes of the emergency are eliminated. Temporary openings are welded. Additionally, the identification of workers in the work area is carried out. Their location at the work site is identified. Availability of requisite documents, permits for work and personal protective equipment is checked. If anything is absent, an alarm signal is transmitted to the central console.
EFFECT: invention enhances technological safety at facilities of the main gas pipelines.
