FIELD: construction; rail vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of warning about approach of railway rolling stock when performing works on construction and repair of railway infrastructure. In the method, a notification system (NSTV) is installed on the track vehicle on the work site, comprising a control controller, a transceiver, a radio station, at least one loudspeaker and an optical emitter. NSTV uses transceiver to receive control signals from rolling stock detection sensors and, when rolling stock is detected, alert signals and reproduce received signals in the form of audio and optical control signals. NSTV further includes a mode switch which, when the NSTV as part of another rolling stock approach warning system, changes the NSTV to the collective portable alarm device operation mode, wherein the NSTV receives control signals and notification signals from the collective portable signaling device included in the other system, and reproduces the received signals in the form of corresponding audio and optical control signals and warning signals.
EFFECT: possibility of reducing the time for deploying an alarm system during repair and track works is achieved.
