FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to a method of photodynamic therapy (PDT) of bladder cancer. To do this, in adjuvant or neoadjuvant therapy, an aqueous solution of hexyl 5-ALA-ether (HAL) is administered in a concentration of 0.1 to 5 wt% and expose the inner part of the bladder to blue light. Exposure to light is carried out at a flow density of 1.5 to 12.5 MW/cm2, at a dose of 0.2 to 15.0 J/cm2.
EFFECT: such combined therapy in the developed mode provides a reduction in the frequency of relapses due to more accurate visualization of the tumor when exposed to blue light.
