FIELD: soft capsules.

SUBSTANCE: method for drying soft capsules includes the stages of a) supplying an air flow to the soft capsules at an air speed ranging from about 0.15 m/s to about 13 m/s, b) gradually increasing the drying temperature, ensuring that the drying temperature remains below the melt temperature of the capsule shell of the soft capsules, c) subjecting said soft capsules to an initial relative humidity (RH) of about 49% to about 79% of RH, d) reducing the relative humidity to which the soft capsules are subjected as the capsules dry until the equilibrium relative humidity of the soft capsules reaches the desired relative humidity, and e) subject the soft capsules after step d) to a temperature of 20 to 25 ° C. Also, disclosed is a drying system for using this method.

EFFECT: invention makes the process of drying soft capsules more effective.
