SUBSTANCE: catalyst for desulfurization of liquid petroleum products is disclosed, containing a carrier and at least one metal promoter selected from a group consisting of Cobalt, Nickel, Iron and Manganese, the carrier containing at least one metal oxide selected from a group of oxides of Group IIB, Group VB and Group VIB metals, and a ire-resistant inorganic oxide, in which the carrier additionally contains at least about 5 wt.% of Vanadium carbide, based on total weight of catalyst used for desulfurization of oil products

EFFECT: liquid oil desulfurization catalyst exhibits good stability, high desulfurization activity, excellent abrasion resistance and long service life. Also disclosed is a method for producing a catalyst for desulfurization of liquid oil products and use of catalyst in desulfurization of sulfur-containing oil products.
