FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a desulfurisation catalyst, a method of synthesising the catalyst and application of the catalyst in desulfurisation of liquid petroleum products. The catalyst is comprised of: 1) a sulfur-accumulative metal oxide, wherein the sulfur-accumulative metal is one or several selected from the group consisting of a metal from the IIB Group of the periodic table of elements, a metal from the VB Group of the periodic table of elements, and a metal from the VIB Group of the periodic table of elements; 2) an inorganic binder constituting a fire-retardant inorganic oxide; 3) a wear-resistant component constituting boron nitride; and 4) an active metal component constituting one or several selected from the group consisting of a metal element from the VIII Group of the periodic table of elements, an oxide of an element from the iron subgroup of the periodic table of elements, a metal element from the IB Group of the periodic table of elements, an oxide of a metal element from the IB Group of the periodic table elements, a metal element from the VIIB Group of the periodic table of elements and an oxide of a metal element from the VIIB Group of the periodic table of elements. The method of synthesising the catalyst includes the following steps: (1) contacting at least the described components with each other to produce a catalyst precursor, and (2) annealing the catalyst precursor to produce a desulfurisation catalyst.
EFFECT: improved stability, higher desulfurisation activity, improved abrasion resistance, octane number maintained at the maximum value, ability to generate gaseous hydrogen.
