FIELD: air analysis.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to air analysis. Disclosed is a multilayer sorption tube comprising a sampling tube (100) positioned to direct a gas flow from one end to a second end; the first volume (120) Tenax GR located in the above tube near one end; and the second volume (140) Carbograph 5TD located in this tube between the first volume and the second end, the proportions of the first volume and the second volume making up 21.5% and 78.5% by volume, respectively; the amount of the first volume being 85 mg and the amount of the second volume - 300 mg. Also disclosed is a method of analysis using the specified tube.

EFFECT: group of inventions ensures increased efficiency of removal of trapped moisture from tubes while preserving the volatile organic compounds under examination in the tube for further analysis of the content of volatile organic compounds in wet gas.
