FIELD: oxidizing roasting.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a rotary furnace for oxidizing roasting of sulfide ore. The furnace contains a casing consisting of a gas outlet head part with a loading chamber and a combustion end part with an ore unloading chamber, which has a coaxially located combustion head and a burner, and a channel with zones for drying, heating and isothermal holding of ore. The furnace is equipped with an air heater located in the combustion end part of the casing and having a first gas supply pipe at the end part of the casing behind the ore unloading chamber and a first pipe for supplying air from a recuperator mounted on the refrigerator body to form the first gaseous flow in the isothermal holding zone, a burner equipped with a branch pipe for supplying hot air from a recuperator mounted on the refrigerator housing, located in the isothermal holding zone for the formation of a second gaseous flow in the heating and drying zones of sulfide ore and internal mixing of air and gas from the first branch pipe for air supply and the first branch pipe for gas supply, and the combustion head is made with the possibility of internal mixing of air and gas from the second branch pipe for air supply and the second branch pipe for gas supply.

EFFECT: obtaining uniformly roasted ore throughout the entire volume and simplifying the control of the temperature regime of roasting.
