SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of arts and crafts. The claimed group of inventions includes a decorative device with an applied relief image and a method for obtaining a relief image. The claimed method of obtaining a relief image consists in the fact that a relief image is formed on a substrate by multilayer printing with UV-curable inks in several passes of the print head of the printer with the maximum amount of ink, and the number of passes is set based on the calculation of the maximum required relief height based on the thickness of the printing layer for the printer , while determining the zones for creating a relief, methods of transmission, boundaries and textures of the elements of a pictorial work, create relief maps based on the characteristics of the printing device. When preparing the file, the number of successive layers is determined, which will form the relief similar to the level contours in cartography, each layer is formed separately in black, each layer is set to 100/n% transparency, where n is the number of layers, and the blending mode is set to "multiplication", the substrate is formed white under all layers, get the first main layer, draw the necessary elements for detail in separate layers, at the same time, the boundaries of the elements are separated from each other by relief levels, the degree of overlap (the level of elevation of the relief) is regulated by the transparency of the layers, and to give a texture similar in sensations to the texture of the paint on the canvas, copies of the selected image zones are used using the "color contrast" filter with an additional correction by curves, if necessary, increase the difference between the levels, using additional lightening with white color using the selection mask - highlight areas near the border of a sharp drop in levels with a "soft brush", save the main layer, the layer with details and textures in separate tif files, for each file, there is a procedure of converting to CMYK with maximum overlay of colors: desaturate the image (so that all RGB channels are the same), check the black point with levels, copy any channel, split the channels, and then collect them in CMYK and save, while controlling imposition of layers of paint, if it is necessary to additionally raise individual elements, create a separate file with them, after printing the relief, the entire surface is sealed in white in 2 layers, then the original color image is printed.

EFFECT: provides increased detail, clear contour, and increased mechanical stability.
