FIELD: hair treatment.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a position tracking device (30) for an automated hair treatment system (10), said device comprising a plurality of position sensors (32) adapted to be attached to a subject (12) whose hair is being treated, a transmitter (34), which is operatively connected to at least two position sensors (32) from said plurality of position sensors (32), and a position controller (34), which is adapted to determine the relative orientation between said at least two position sensors (32) from said a plurality of position sensors (32) and which signals the state of misorientation.
EFFECT: present invention also relates to an automated hair treatment system (10) and to a method for operating an automated hair treatment system (10).
