FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: object of the invention is a system for separating oil from air/oil mixture (11,12), designed to seal the sealed cavities (13) of a gas turbine engine. The above-mentioned system contains at least one centrifugal degasser (20), at least one mechanical block (30) of a gas turbine engine, containing multiple mechanical parts (21,22), at least one of which is mechanically connected to the drive shaft of said degasser (20) for actuating its rotation, while the block (30) is configured to contain oil mist (39) for lubricating the mechanical parts (21,22). According to the invention, the oil separation system additionally comprises means (40) for isolating the air/oil mixture (11,12) from the oil mist (39) of the mechanical unit (30), so that the oil mist (39) of mechanical unit (30) could not enrich with oil the mixture separated by the degasser.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to optimize degasser performance, as well as to reduce the cooling requirements of the mechanical unit.
