DEVICE FOR GROWING CRYSTALS FROM SOLUTION AT CONSTANT TEMPERATURE Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC C30B7/08 C30B29/14 C30B35/00

Abstract RU 2745770 C1

FIELD: crystallography.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of crystallography, and more specifically to devices for growing crystals from solutions, for example, to the technique of high-speed growth of crystals of the CDR group (KH2PO4), including on an industrial scale. The device for growing crystals from a solution at a constant temperature contains a crystallizer 1, equipped with a hydraulic circuit 7 for circulation of a solution, in which a pump 8, a filter 9 and an adjustable throttle 11 are installed, connected through a fitting to the crystallizer 1, while two hydraulic lines connect compensation vessel 13 to the crystallizer 1, one hydraulic line - outlet 12 - connects the outlet of the crystallizer 1 directly with the outlet of the compensation vessel 13, and the other, the inlet 14, connects the outlet of the crystallizer 1 by the means of the line of the solution circulation loop 7 with the inlet of the compensation vessel 13, the compensation vessel 13 has a cover 16 with an annular protrusion around the through hole, a condenser 17 is placed on the cover 16 with a gap relative to the protrusion, a branch pipe with a valve 19 is connected to the cavity between the protrusion of the cover 16 and the inner wall of the condenser 17 intended for collecting condensate, providing periodic drainage of condensate, an opening is additionally made in the cover 16 for installing a dosing means 23 for feeding salt or scrap crystals into the compensation vessel 13, the crystallizer is equipped with a solution temperature sensor 4 connected to the thermostating means 6 of the crystallizer 1, and the compensation vessel 13 is equipped with a temperature sensor 21, connected to the heater 15, placed in the communication line 14 of the vessel 13 with the circulation loop of the solution 7 into the crystallizer 1. The means of thermostating 6 of the crystallizer 1 can be made in the form of a water cooling jacket or an air fan. The dosing means 23 for supplying salt or crystal scrap to the compensation vessel 13 is made in the form of a funnel or a perforated container filled with salt or crystal scrap. The condenser 17 has a spherical shape, and the compensation vessel 13 is equipped with a stirrer 18.

EFFECT: due to the conditions for maintaining a constant temperature and solution concentration during the growth process, high quality CDR crystals are obtained.
