SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. Disclosed are compounds, compositions and methods for researching, diagnosing and treating symptoms, diseases and conditions responsive to modulation of expression and/or activity of HBV genes and/or modulation of expression of the HBV gene pathway. Disclosed are double-stranded nucleic acid molecules such as small interfering nucleic acid (siNA), small interfering RNA (siRNA), double-stranded RNA (dsRNA), micro-RNA (mRNA), and short hairpin RNA (shRNA) mediating RNA interference (RNAi) against HBV gene expression.
EFFECT: invention expands a range of means for gene therapy.
