FIELD: radio electronics.

SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to mechanisms for estimation of the arrival angle of a radio signal in a radio communication network. The method is implemented by a radio signal transmitter-receiver. The radio signal transmitter-receiver apparatus is comprised of an antenna array which, by means of analog directional path forming, is configured to switch between at least two locations of a phase center; wherein the radio signal is received by the antenna array using the first of two mutually different locations of the phase center in the first time slot and the second of two mutually different locations of the phase center in the second time slot. The method comprises the stage wherein the results of measurements of the radio signal received by the antenna array are obtained using two mutually different locations of the phase center. The method comprises the stage wherein the angle of arrival of the radio signal is estimated using the measurement results obtained using two mutually different locations of the phase center.

EFFECT: provided effective method of estimation of the arrival angle which can be used for effective beam control.
