SUBSTANCE: method for controlling the operation of the beverage preparation machine (1) serves to prepare the final product from the first component and at least the second component and the third component. It contains at least the following steps: reading the user input to set three quantitative fractions (21, 22, 23), while displaying a graphical representation of the quantitative fractions (21, 22, 23) with an indicator (41, 42, 43) of the fraction for each quantitative fraction, the size of the indicator (41, 42, 43) of the fraction is essentially proportional to the corresponding quantitative fraction (21, 22, 23), while it is possible to adjust the size of at least one of the indicators (41, 42, 43) of the fraction and, thus, the corresponding quantitative fraction (21, 22, 23) in accordance with the user input; preparation of the final product in the form of a combination of three components with quantities corresponding to the set quantitative fractions (21, 22, 23).
EFFECT: improved control of a beverage preparation machine’s operation.
