FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used for pain relief and sedation in dentistry. For this, a single intravenous administration of a preparation of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory compound NSAID is used as a means of analgesia. It can be ketorolac tromethamine, or metamizole sodium, or ketoprofen, or dexketoprofen, or lornoxicam, or diclofenac in appropriate doses in a period of time ranging from 3 hours to 15 seconds before starting performing local anesthesia, and as a means of sedation, intravenous administration of propofol is used in a single dose of 25-225 mg for a period of time ranging from 15 minutes to 15 seconds before the start of local anesthesia, or in a loading dose of 25-225 and a maintenance dose of 25-225 mg in the period from the beginning to the end of the dental intervention.
EFFECT: method ensures the absence of intra- and postoperative pain syndrome, a decrease in postoperative edema and anxiety in patients due to the combined analgesic and anxiolytic effects of these drugs.
