SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of railway transport, in particular to bolsters, bogies of railway cars containing such beams, as well as to methods of installing wear-resistant plates on bolsters. The bolster contains an end. The end contains an upper end surface and at least one surface for a wear plate. The surface for the wear plate contains upper and lower bolt holes. The first and second recesses are made in the upper end surface. The recesses contain connecting surfaces and surfaces with an adjustable slope. The connecting surfaces are parallel to the surface for the wear plate. When installing the plate, the fasteners are inserted into the holes and fixed by pressing the connecting parts to the surfaces of the recesses.

EFFECT: mounting of wear plates is simplified.
