SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing surfaces of a prefabricated coffin body by pressing in a mold and compacting wood pulp, to a surface produced by this method, and to a coffin body assembled from such surfaces. The specified method consists in the fact that each side surface and surface of the upper (top) side and the lower (bottom) side of the product body is made of wood pulp (5), pressed in the molds (3), (4) for double-sided pressing, the surface which (3.3) and (4.3) correspond to the "negative relief" of the sides (7.8) and (7.9) of the above surfaces of the product body, with their subsequent compaction, performed until the pressed surface (6) obtains the required thickness, shape and physical properties.

EFFECT: reliable manufacture of coffins, provided with surfaces characterized by durable attractive relief, as well as low production cost of products.
