FIELD: funeral accessories. SUBSTANCE: coffin has casing and cover, each having base, side and end walls. Bases are made composite and have at least two parts, whose side edges are taken up in conjunction plane at an angle of 18 deg throughout their height. Side and end walls are made continuous so that end walls provide for additional fixation of said parts. Base parts may be made sectional along their length. Bases, sides and end walls may be manufactured from coniferous tree timber. EFFECT: reduced cost and improved ecology control. 4 cl, 5 dwg
