SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a coating composition for cigarette paper with a low flammability propensity, a cigarette in which it is used, and a method for producing cigarette paper with a low flammability propensity. The technical result is achieved by the fact that the coating composition for cigarette paper with a low tendency to ignite comprises from 10 to 30% by weight of gum arabic, from 25 to 35% by weight of maltose, from 15 to 30% by weight of ethanol and from 10 to 40 % by weight of water, wherein the viscosity of the coating composition is more than 100 cP and less than 1000 cP, the coating composition has at least a 6-month viscosity retention period at 2 °C and 20 rpm spindle speed, and the coating composition has the ability to dry under conditions room temperature, as well as the technical result is achieved by a cigarette comprising such a coating composition, and by a method for producing cigarette paper with a low flammability propensity, including the step of preparing such a coating composition.
EFFECT: The technical result is to increase the service life and shelf life.
