FIELD: technical systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of research of the reliability of technical systems, namely to the creation of experimental methods for accelerated testing of protective equipment, in particular gas masks. According to the method, successive impacts on the gas masks of climatic factors are performed causing the aging processes of the front parts and filter-absorbing boxes as well as mechanical factors that cause the processes of damage accumulation in the structural elements of the gas masks and their wear and including mechanical shock, putting on and removing the gas masks. The reduction of the test period in comparison with normal operation is provided due to the toughening of the impact on the gas masks of climatic factors. At the end of each test cycle, the main indicators of the appointment of gas masks are monitored in order to determine the regularity of changes in each of the indicators of the appointment. By changing the indicators of the appointment of gas masks, durability is calculated.

EFFECT: technical result consists in the possibility of a reliable assessment by an accelerated method of compliance of filtering gas masks with durability requirements, determining their actual durability, as well as predicting the durability of filtering gas masks, taking into account the main factors affecting their ability to perform the function of destination.
